Trip to upstate NY

After 4 years of not seeing the leaves change colors in the fall, I decided to visit my sister and niece in upstate NY when Stephen had a few days off from preschool last week. It was pretty warm there for the time of year (in the 50's-60's) so the colors weren't as dynamic as they could be. But after not seeing any leaves change any color in Texas it was a welcome sight!

We took the kids to a local apple orchard to pick apples and raspberries. Stephen picked 2 quarts of raspberries almost all by himself. Some of the apples were used to make my sister's awesome apple crisp. Stephen decided he wanted to help Aunt Tracy make the apple crisp...he told me, "go away Mommy, I'm helping Aunt Tracy bake." So I got to take a 2 hour nap while we enjoyed apple crisp made by Stephen that evening.
