To The Beach!

Our first weekend in NC (Aug 8-9) we all needed a break from trying to figure out what things from our 2,600 sq. ft. house would make into our 900 sq. ft. apartment. So to unwind and help us relax, we went on a weekend trip to Atlantic Beach which is on the outer banks of NC. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Pine Knoll Shores that had public beach access right across the street and also had a pool. This was Stephen's third trip to the beach, he had such a good time looking for shells and building sandcastles. He also liked getting knocked around by the waves in the ocean. One thing I can say about NC is that the beaches here are nicer than the ones in TX...no seaweed! We had dinner at a place called Raps in Morehead City, Butch remembered getting takeout there once when he was in the Marine Corp .
