Days 2-3 of Ashley's Visit

We had our first outing today, we made a short trip to Target that went pretty well. I got two pumpkins while we were there, and the kids painted them instead of Butch having to carve one large one. Butch came home for lunch and picked up Stephen to run an errand, and came home with flowers for me. All of our vases are in storage so we had to improvise...we do live in NC now, so Butch made a redneck vase out of an orange juice container. Stephen wasn't as willing to stare his toys today as he was Ashley's first day here, I expect that trend to continue for awhile.

And today is Halloween! The morning was cloudy and rainy so we had a lazy day inside. When Ashley woke up from her nap, I got the kids into their costumes and we took them to the North Hills shopping mall to go trick or treating since our apartment complex doesn't do it. Stephen loved it this year, he went right up to people by himself. Ashley pooped out halfway though, I ended up carrying her the rest of the way. After dinner Butch took Stephen to a nearby neighborhood to get some more candy while I stayed home with Ashley and went for a walk.
